D.I.Y Flower Hair Crown

D.I.Y Flower Hair Crown

I made this flower crown head band with items I found at home.I have always loved these styles of headband but as I have quite a small head they never usually fit. So I decided to look up how to make them and when I found it was quite simple, I was over the moon. If you would like to make one of these headbands I am going to show you how with a step by step guide -

First of all you need these items -
  • Craft wire
  • Artificial flowers
  • Glue gun
-To start with you need to take the flowers of the stems and put them to one side as these will be used later.

-Take the craft wire and measure it against your head, make sure you make it loose, also leave a bit to overlap so you can fasten it.

-The craft wire by it'self is too flimsy and doesn't look too nice so you have to put some green tube around it, I used the tube from the stems of the fake flowers but it can be any type which can easily be purchased at a craft shop. You need to cover the whole wire with this leaving a little bit of wire at each end.

-Get your flowers and make sure there is only the tiniest bit of stem.

-Get a piece of wire around 3-4cm long and fold it in half, then loop this around the bit of stem and twist it so it is tight, then get your glue gun and put a blob of glue on it to ensure it is secure. do this to all of your flowers, i used 6 but it can vary.

-Choose where you want to put the flowers and use the two ends of wire to wrap around the band to secure it, place the flowers where you want them to be and after wrapping the wire place discrete bits of glue to secure them.

-Wear your new flower crown and feel great.

It would be great if you try this, if you do please send me a picture of how it goes as it would be great to see other designs.

    Astor Lip Tint Review

I purchased an Astor lip tint a while ago, and it has become my favourite lip product! I even went out and bought another only a week after getting the first one.

I bought this one first, it's in shade 154 Nude Plum, i expected it to be more pink than it comes out. When it's applied it is actually quite a deep purple colour which at first i was unsure about but I love it.
I then went on to purchase this one, it's in shade 250 coral nude, again this colour was a deeper red then i thought it would be but again i have fallen in love with it.

The actual product it's self is like a felt pen, you just colour in your lips. It then, on the other end, has a balm which is to add shine but also is to keep your lips dry. The product is light and long lasting as I have found that if you let it dry fully before putting the balm on it lasts all day, meaning no lipstick stains on glasses or the worry of smudging or re applying. Also if the first coat isn't right for you, let it dry and add more layers until you get the desired colour.
I would definitely recommend this product, but when purchasing make sure you have tested the colour on your hand as it isn't always like the colour of the casing.
I have tried many other lip tints but have found they don't last all day and are usually not very bright but these are definitely long lasting and bright.

    Cat eye make up

I decided I would try and do a cat eye look, this was my result.

To do this look, I used a tutorial from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgzlcKNdQbk
In the video she did a very bold look but I decided to do a more natural every day look.
    What you need-
    Tape
    eye primer
eye shadow palette ( I used MUA undress me too palette )
eye liner ( preferably liquid )
    Mascara
angled brush ( for definition )

As the video is very detailed I would recommend you watch that but I will summarise what you need to do -

    1. prime your eye lids
    2. get tape and remove some stickiness by placing it on your hand
    3. then apply the tape at the edge of your eye where the flick will go
    4. apply dark black eye shadow at the corner of your eye and smudge it out either way to make it more smoky
    5. keep applying and smudging until you get it to how you want it
    6. use a cream coloured shadow to blend out even more
    7. apply a bronze or gold colur over the top to make it more natural
    8. remove tape
    9. apply liquid eye line to main eye lid and lightly to the flick as this ensures it looks natural
    10. apply mascara

    Clean&Clear Morning energy review

I love this product and thought why not do a review of it.

Clean&Clear Morning Energy is a skin brightening daily facial moisturizer which has lemon and papaya in it to make you skin not only soft but helps it look visibly brighter. When I first saw this I didn't think it would work but when I bought it and tried it I was amazed at how well it works. It not only works well but also smells divine. I have repurchased this product many times and recommend it to everyone. It's a good price and is a product I couldn't live without.
    £3.99 (75ml) from boots
